A successful product relies on delivering a great product and marketing the stuffing out of it (without forgetting to keep delivering that great product). Brand loyalty and a successful log term business relies on not only creating a great product, but making sure that you are always looking out for the next great idea and developing that new idea into your next great product. For this reason, I think that Google is best positioned to knock Facebook out of the social network thrown.

It is interesting how technology can shift a lexicon and make a word that was once grounded in significance to be clouded and marginalized. The creation of social networking and the need for naming user connections has caused a loss of the original meanings of these words. Looking over my chat and social network contacts, I began to consider the value of labels. While I seem to have connections with hundreds of people, I only generally speak to a scant segment. Of the many 'Friend' connections I have, I have only seen a handful in the past year. One list displayed 30 'Buddies' yet remarked that 500 people reciprocating this title.
With the new year, defriending seems to be popular as a way of cleaning up your life and your communication matrix...

Plans have been finalized for December 4th. My favorite little (sorry Nathan and Tim) will be here for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. For those of you who do not know what this is, let me provide a quick synopsis. Disney + Christmas - 75% park attendance + AYCE hot chocolate and sugar cookies. Throw in a little Florida snow and a performance of Holiday Wishes and a few special loved ones and you have the perfect holiday experience.
This will be a great start to the Christmas season. As normal, house decorations will be going up on Black Friday (cause I don't do crazy stampeding crowds). This year we will once again have the Victorian Christmas Tree, the Mardi Gras Tree, the Nightmare Before Christmas Tree and the Winter Wonderland Tree. Designs have not yet been finalized for the rumored lanai tree or the guest room tree, but hopefully the budget will allow for the intended theme on both projects. We look forward to spending time this holiday season with all of our friends and family. Happy Holidays to all.
